Designer and Producer, FAUCHON does these two jobs daily with a guiding passion: to provide the world with French culinary excellence.
Bakery, patisserie and delicatessen, each day FAUCHON invents new recipes. Inspired by their times, as well as our culinary heritage, our chefs and pastry chefs create delectable flavors that are light, honest, innovative and enhance our excellent raw materials.
Producer, FAUCHON travels France in search of our best national craftsmen, talented artists who have been able to develop a unique mastery of their area of expertise, get the best of their land, and reproduce it thanks to an inimitable know-how.
Our in-house fine savory foods, tea, coffee, honey, foie gras, and chocolate experts … search high and low all over France to find craftsmen, manufacturers, wine producers and jam makers etc. with whom they can develop and produce FAUCHON products, based on strict specifications and home-made recipes, so that the entire world may become acquainted with them.
With these products, FAUCHON has become an ambassador for French culinary professions, and is the backbone of regional craftsmanship, promoting it and helping it to endure, and develop.
Among its products for 2006 and 2007, FAUCHON would like to invite you to discover :
- Rillettes from de Ile de Groix: 5 fish rillettes, made for FAUCHON by the Comptoir de L’Ile de Groix, the last canning plant on Groix island.
Following the traditions of canning plants in Brittany, the Comptoir de l’Ile de Groix selects every morning, once the fishermen have returned with their catch, the best raw materials and cooks them following authentic and original recipes.
Salmon, sardine, mackerel, goat's cheese and mackerel rillettes: €5,60 for a 90g pot; Scallop rillettes: €6,60 € for a 90g pot.
- Our regional honeys: after designing its own organoleptic scale for honey, FAUCHON has selected the best 10 honey producers in France and purchased their entire harvest: Flower honey from the Loire Valley, rosemary honey from Languedoc Roussillon, fir tree honey from Franche Comté, lime blossom honey from Bourgogne, chestnut tree honey from the Midi-Pyrénées, Honey from the Gâtinais, acacia honey from Rhône Alpes, alder buckthorn honey from Aquitaine, etc. They will provide you with a palette of fine notes with fruity, malt, caramel, herb, and sweet almond accents.
- The foie gras trading post: a new range of duck and goose foie gras, exclusively from the South West, Vendée, and Alsace produced by craftsmen using traditional skills and know-how, aimed at perpetuating the production methods of the past. Raised in the country in open fields, South West-certified ducks are fed locally-grown corn, free of GMOs, without the use of any antibiotics to guarantee food safety. Our duck foie gras is chosen, sorted, de-veined, and individually seasoned, by hand.
- Representing some of the best French “appellations”, Fauchon wines are unique and are the result of meeting wine growers who share our vision of wine. Everything starts here through our respect for the wine growers: genuine vine gardeners, these wine growers know that a great wine must begin with great grapes. The following step requires meeting this demand through winemaking and wine growing. Patience and care are the key words. This alchemy is a form of craftsmanship in our search for the best: wines from Bourgogne, Médoc, Meursault, Côtes de Rhône, Pommard premier cru and Chablis combine pleasure, fruits and authenticity.
