The house exists since 1743. The imperial brut cuvée owes its name to the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, who gave the Legion of Honor to Jean-Rémy Moët. His grandson was the first to conquer the international market and quickly transformed the brand into a worldwide symbol of celebration. The brut imperial has been an emblematic cuvée since 1869.
