Assam G.B.O.P. tea

Black tea from India with broken leaves and numerous golden tips. A powerful and full-bodied tea with a contained astringency; typical spicy and flowery notes of tobacco. This tea is grown from the native variety of indian tea tree camelia assamica. The state of Assam is the largest tea producing region whose crops extend on both banks of the Brahmaputra River. This part of India experiences heavy rainfall and the temperature can rise to 40 during the day. These climatic conditions contribute to the exceptional flavor of Assam tea.
