This tea can be enjoyed hot, for a soothing moment, plain or with a touch of honey to soften its lively notes. A few drops of FAUCHON French acacia honey, with its subtle floral aromas, enhance the overall experience and prolong the sensory experience with sweetness and elegance.

Preparation of our iced recipe
Infuse 2 teaspoons of tea in 50 cl of water at 80 for 3 minutes. Leave to cool, then place in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Serve chilled, with a few ice cubes, a slice and/or a dash of fresh lemon juice, and a mint leaf for an extra touch of freshness. For a gourmet touch, add a spoonful of FAUCHON acacia honey to dissolve in the hot tea before cooling. A refreshing drink perfect for sunny days.

Our moist green tea, lemon and ginger cake by Fauchon

To make this unique cake, start by infusing 2 teaspoons of FAUCHON lemon and ginger green tea in 20 cl of hot water, then leave to cool. In a bowl, mix 150 g of flour, 100 g of sugar, 1 sachet of baking powder, 3 eggs and 80 g of melted butter. Gently stir the cooled infusion into the mixture to flavour the batter. Add the zest of one lemon and a pinch of ground ginger to intensify the flavours. Pour into a buttered cake tin and bake for 35 minutes at 180. Leave to cool before turning out. This delicately flavoured cake is perfect for enjoying a relaxing moment or a cup of tea with friends.

Sensory analysis

A balanced green tea, which has almost no bitterness. Ginger brings pep without being too present. It is a blend with very balanced flavors.

Green tea (China), ginger pieces 12.5%, lemon peel 12.5%, lemongrass, natural flavours.

Lemon and ginger green tea is an infusion that feels as good as it comforts. Green tea helps you feel lighter, regain energy without feeling agitated, and take care of yourself every day. The tradition of blending ginger and lemon in a hot drink dates back to several ancient cultures that valued their medicinal benefits. In India, Ayurvedic medicine uses ginger to warm the body and stimulate digestion, often combined with lemon to enhance the purifying effect. In traditional Chinese medicine, ginger chases away internal cold while lemon balances this action, helping to prevent colds. This combination is also found in folk traditions in North Africa and Asia, where it is used to soothe sore throats and boost energy. Today, this drink is highly prized in the West for its well-being properties, based on these ancient uses and validated by science. It is a simple but effective combination of warmth, acidity, stimulation, and purification.

Black tea and green tea come from the same plant, Camellia sinensis, but their main difference lies in the way they are processed.

Black tea undergoes complete oxidation, giving it a dark color, intense aromas, and woody, spicy, or malty notes. Its flavor is more robust and generally contains more theine, making it ideal for a morning boost.

Green tea, on the other hand, is minimally oxidized, which preserves its vibrant color and fresh, vegetal flavors. Lighter in theine than black tea, it is often valued for its antioxidant properties and delicate, sometimes floral or herbaceous flavor.
