Black pepper from Voantsy Périféry
- Storage and tasting tips
- Ingredients and allergens
Wild pepper from the forests of Madagascar, its lianas grow up to 20 meters high. Its harvest is dangerous and tedious, hence its rarity and its nickname "Pepper of the peaks". Its warm but not pungent flavor reveals subtle notes of undergrowth, brightened by a fruity lemony freshness. Ideal as a fine seasoning on meats or foie gras, but also on fresh goat's cheese. And for an off-beat side, on a chocolatey dessert!
Tasting adviceThis pepper is ideal on meats such as pork, lamb and chicken but also to bring out the best in a dish of pan-fried vegetables.
Storage conditionsKeep in a cool and dry place.
